American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE)
AACTE is a national voluntary association of higher education institutions and other organizations and is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality preparation and continuing professional development for teachers and school leaders in order to enhance PK–12 student learning.

American Educational Research Association (AERA)
AERA is concerned with improving the educational process by encouraging scholarly inquiry related to education and by promoting the dissemination and practical application of research results.

American Federation of Teachers (AFT)
AFT is a 900,000-member union of public and professional employees, including public and private school teachers, paraprofessionals and school-related personnel, higher education faculty and professionals, and employees of state and local governments.

American Speech–Language–Hearing Association (ASHA)
ASHA is the professional, scientific, and credentialing association for more than 123,000 members and affiliates who are audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists.

Association for Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD)
AHEAD is the premiere professional association committed to full participation of persons with disabilities in postsecondary education.

Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD)
ASCD is an international, nonprofit, nonpartisan education association committed to the mission of forging covenants in teaching and learning for the success of all learners. ASCD provides professional development in curriculum and supervision; encourages research, evaluation, and theory development; and disseminates information on education issues.

Association of Educational Therapists (AET)
The Association of Educational Therapists is the national professional association for educational therapists. AET defines and sets standards for the professional practice of educational therapy. Educational therapists provide a broad range of individualized educational interventions for children and adults with learning disabilities and other learning challenges.

Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)
CEC provides training on issues affecting special educators, including topics such as preparing students for transitions, working with students with autism spectrum disorders, beginning reading instruction, and new developments in brain research.

Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD)
The Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD) is an international organization concerned about issues related to students with learning disabilities. Working to build a better future for students with LD has been the primary goal of CLD for more than 20 years.

Division for Communicative Disabilities and Deafness (DCDD) of the Council for Exceptional Children
The primary mission of the Division for Communicative Disabilities and Deafness is to promote the welfare, development, and education of infants, toddlers, children and youth with communicative disabilities or who are deaf and hard of hearing. In addition DCDD seeks to promote growth in professionals and families as a means to better understand the development of communicative abilities and the prevention of communicative disabilities.

Division of Learning Disabilities (DLD) of the Council for Exceptional Children
DLD is the largest international professional organization focused on learning disabilities. The purpose of their web-based program TeachingLD is to provide trustworthy and up-to-date resources about teaching students with learning disabilities.

Education Commission of the States (ECS)
ECS is a 37-year-old nonpartisan, nonprofit organization representing the states' interest in education.  The ECS website provides a wealth of information on dozens of education issues, from accountability to vouchers. There is an extensive section devoted to No Child Left Behind.

Education International
Education International is a worldwide trade union organization of education personnel, whose members represent all sectors of education from pre-school to university.

International Dyslexia Association (IDA)
The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals with dyslexia, their families, and the communities that support them. Throughout their rich history, their goal has been to provide the most comprehensive forum for parents, educators, and researchers to share their experiences, methods, and knowledge.

Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA)
LDA provides support to people with learning disabilities, their parents, teachers, and other professionals. At the national, state and local levels, LDA provides cutting edge information on learning disabilities, practical solutions, and a comprehensive network of resources. These services make the Learning Disabilities Association of America the leading resource for information on learning disabilities.

National Association for Bilingual Education
Promoting educational excellence and equity through bilingual education, NABE is exclusively concerned with the education of language-minority students in American schools.

National Association for the Education of African American Children With Learning Disabilities (NAEAACLD)
The National Association for the Education of African American Children with Learning Disabilities (NAEAACLD) was founded in 1999 for the purpose of increasing awareness and promoting an understanding of the specific issues facing African American children. The organization’s mission is to link information and resources provided by an established network of individuals and organizations experienced in minority research and special education with parents, educators, and others responsible for providing a quality education for all students.

National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
NAEYC leads and consolidates the efforts of individuals and groups working to achieve healthy development and constructive education for all young children.

National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
The National Association of School Psychologists represents and supports school psychology through leadership to enhance the mental health and educational competence of all children.

National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS)
NBPTS is an independent, private, nonprofit organization working to improve teaching and learning in America's schools.

National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD)
NCLD works to ensure that the 15 million U.S. children, adolescents, and adults with learning disabilities have every opportunity to succeed in school, work, and life. NCLD provides essential information to parents, professionals, and individuals with learning disabilities, promotes research and programs to foster effective learning, and advocates for policies to protect and strengthen educational rights and opportunities.

National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
NCATE is a coalition of specialty professional associations of teachers, teacher educators, content specialists, and local and state policymakers. The organization serves as the profession's mechanism for establishing high-quality teacher preparation through the process of professional accreditation of schools, colleges, and departments of education.

National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS)
NCSS supports educators in strengthening and advocating social studies. It serves as an umbrella organization for elementary, secondary, and college teachers of history, geography, economics, political science, sociology, psychology, anthropology, and law-related education.

National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM)
NCTM is a nonprofit, nonpartisan education association dedicated to improving mathematics teaching and learning, kindergarten through high school.

National Education Association
NEA is committed to advancing the cause of public education. Its members work at every level of education, from pre-school to university graduate programs.

National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD)
Founded in 1975, the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD) is a national committee of representatives of organizations committed to the education and welfare of individuals with learning disabilities. LDOnLine is the official website for the papers of the NJCLD.

National Middle School Association (NMSA)
NMSA serves as a voice for professionals, parents, and others interested in the educational and developmental needs of young adolescents (10-15 years of age).

National Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) reminds our country of its obligations to children and provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child while providing the best tools for parents to help their children be successful students.

National Science Teachers Association (NSTA)
NSTA is committed to the improvement of science education at all levels, preschool through college. It provides many programs, publications, and services for science educators and offers professional certification for science teachers.

Pennsylvania High School Coaching Initiative (PAHSCI)
The PAHSCI is a three-year, $31 million instructional coaching initiative funded by the Annenberg Foundation. The Initiative places one literacy and one math coach for every 600 students in 26 high-need high schools located in 16 school districts across Pennsylvania, with a total enrollment of over 32,000 students.

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
UNESCO's action in education is shaped around promoting education as a fundamental human right; improving the quality of education; and promoting experimentation, innovation and the diffusion and sharing of information and best practices as well as policy dialogue in education.
