Before submitting your presentation proposal, get the FAQs:
For the most part, no. The keynote and featured speakers and the featured authors will be different. Some regular convention sessions may be repeated, as individuals are allowed to submit proposals for both conventions. The Program Committee may accept some of the same proposals for both conventions those that are outstanding and sure to be popular.
Proposals are being accepted now for Minneapolis. The proposal submission deadline for Phoenix was February 15, 2008. The deadline for Minneapolis is June 1, 2008.
In preparation for the 2009 conventions, IRA is looking for program proposal reviewers for the initial stage of the process. Please note that serving as a proposal reviewer does not preclude you from submitting a program proposal of your own. As a reviewer who completes all assigned reviews by the deadline, your name will be listed in the Convention Program AND you will be acknowledged in the Convention Show Daily that will be distributed daily at the Convention.
