This SIG works to
Provide opportunities for educators whose reading curriculum and instruction involve establishing high expectations for students to share data and experiences
Bring together educators whose interests are in providing effective instruction through which students achieve reading, writing, speaking, and listening proficiency and use these literacy skills to learn
Assist educators to meet the need of relevancy—to take students beyond the reading/writing processes to their application—for understanding life, for earning a living, and for experiencing culture and civilization.
