Subcommittee on Citations of Merit

 

Charge:

  1. Review applications for the William S. Gray Citation of Merit according to established guidelines. This award recognizes a nationally or internationally known person for contributions to the field of reading. Recommend a candidate to the Board of Directors providing supportive data by December 3, 2007.

  2. Actively seek nominations for the International Citation of Merit, an award given biennially at the World Congress to a person who is clearly visible through international activities in the field of literacy and whose activities benefit other countries, as well as the nominee’s country. Review applications and recommend a candidate for December 3, 2007.
